Not exactly a film noir but had it been set in the 1940s it certainly would be. It is a gothic noir with some excellent set design and locations for 1890s London. Ray Milland is a good gaslighting bastard bc you want to believe him and love him. The movie is a little overstuffed for this story but still quite good.
Cool random find on the shelf at the Erie Community Library.
