Viewing Notes
Very nice story about a teenage girl leaving the island where she grew up and all the challenges with her family and her life. This is a better Studio Ghibli live action movie than that awful actual remake of Whisper of the Heart I saw last week. Bittersweet seeing and hearing the sanshin with all the girls performing. That was Yumi’s instrument.
