Overview
While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers—and brothers—Mario and Luigi are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.

This is fine. I don’t know what critics were expecting from a movie based on the video games that takes elements from all the games to make story clearly aimed at families and children. My audience seemed to really enjoy it. Made me want to play the games again so I guess it worked?
