Decided to rewatch this one since it has been a few years and back when I watched DKU on my MacBook. Previous comments still stand, an amusing and tragic adaptation of the Cyrano de Bergerac play. Mifune is really good and that ending is sad AF.
This was programmed for the Akira Takarada weekend (his birthday) and he’s a good lunkheaded pretty boy samurai.
