Viewing Notes

Makes sense that Josef (DKUTV) would pair this movie up with the Johnny Socko movie since this movie also involves a boy and his robot. I had seen this before via DKU but forgot most of it so I let it play after at the Johnny Socko movie. This is such a weird story that I give it props and a point bump for it. The dub is hilarious bc every keeps repeating “BRAIN AREA” over and over for everything! “You are now entering the Brain Area!” “warning: Brain Area!” etc. So goofy. One Seven the robot ain’t great but the giant mechanized dragon is p darn cool. The flying tank is also neat.

Really nothing v good about this other than the period and practical FX. But it’s fun and Jo presented the US VHS rip of this so it not only looked like shit most of the time, at the end there were a bunch of trailers for other releases by this company (Transformers, GI Joe and whatnot). Total nostalgia bomb even tho I wasn’t into that during the time.

Would be cool for some company Discotek probably to clean up this for a good physical release.
