Viewing Notes

Looking forward to revisiting all these movies now that I have the entire set (first time owning *any* of the movies!). Crazy how well this holds up. I credit Tony Gilroy’s screenwriting chops. Very tight and perfectly paced. And it’s nice to see the protag falls for the girl where it actually makes sense doesn’t go against the rules or code of the assassin. He’s got amnesia and doesn’t know he’s an assassin! So good.

I love Franke Potente in this. She does “average girl” really good even tho she’s not average. But she’s great portraying that role opposite Damon. And wow does Damon look like a little boy. But this was 21 years ago. Holy shit, right. He’s so good here and it’s amusing that they made a tidy little ending as tho there would be no more of these.
