the dumb stuff even more noticeable on the second viewing. So much dumb and yet I love it. I think bc I hated F9 so much that it didn’t take much to bring me back around.

Listened to the A4E podcast on the way home and they shredded this movie. Liam is the only one that mildly enjoyed it. But I agree with a lot that was said. This is a lesser film than 3 thru 7 for sure. Way better than 9. But still so much dumb and inexplicable dumb and dumb for no reason dumb.

Then there’s just wedged in shit that on the second viewing I was like, “wait a second why is this happening?!” Like when so & so appears at the end of the Rome sequence. Like huh?

I do like that they shot on location in Rome and Portugal. Still can’t justify that $300m budget but whatever. It will never be like it was before 8 so might as well just be silly and dumb. And yes I would prefer a better story and scripting but I will take what I can get with what’s leftover.
