Viewing Notes
Today is “slasher day” for Junesploitation so I looked for one I hadn’t seen. This was literally the first one listed on Screambox in the slasher category (starts w/an “A”) so why not. Firstly I would not guess this was from 2014; feels a lot more recent like it was made during the pandemic times all in one location on a micro budget. Totally thought the lead actress was Catherine Corcoran (of Terrifier fame). It’s not but most of these actors haven’t done any other films since this one. So weird.
Anyways this is not a good movie and most of the kills aren’t all that exciting or well done. It’s really just a bunch of young woman that look college age or older but supposed to be HS teens here and as revealed in the very beginning their favorite HS teacher (who looks a lot like a younger Nathan Fillion) is the killer. Kinda surprised this is rather tame (the women are mostly scantly clad in their undies) since it’s riffing on the Slumber Party Massacre and others like it.
