Junesploitation Day One: Teenagers!
An upgrade from the first movie in both budget and story. The stunt casting w/Diana Prince and Joe Bob and is a little silly but this “franchise” is silly so it’s fine. Just takes you out of the movie whenever they appear, which isn’t much but just enough to remind you that oh yeah this is all silly stuff.
The practical FX are better and I like how the evil beings are rendered. Some cool gore FX, too. If they released a nice Blu package with both films I’d get it. For the Junesploitation event I’m assuming some of these college students are teens 18 or 19 years old (they were all teens in the previous film).
