Viewing Notes
Alien Day! for Junesploitation so I chose something on point. If I can still get this on Blu-ray I may throw it in the ring for a future movie night. Ofc it’s ridiculous but also quite entertaining with solid action choreography. Borrows from both Alien and Predator and had me wanting a legit Predator film with armored ninja.
Costuming and weapons are great. Fun gore. Also Mika Hijii who I recognized having just seen her in both Adkins’ NINJA films as his wife. She was the weak aspect of those movies but she’s awesome here. Amazing how much styling, makeup and wardrobe plus the role can make a difference. Here she looks good and kicks ass.
I feel kinda dumb for sitting on this one for so long. It’s a blast.
