Overview

In a dystopian Detroit, grand houses that once housed the wealthy are now homes of the city’s most-dangerous criminals. Surrounding the area is a giant wall to keep the rest of Detroit safe. For undercover cop Damien Collier, every day is a battle against corruption as he struggles to bring his father’s killer, Tremaine, to justice. Meanwhile, Damien and an ex-con named Lino work together to save the city from a plot to destroy it.

Ripoff Day! for Junesploitation so I chose this one since I just got the dvd and it features Paul Walker. Calling it a ripoff even tho it’s produced by the same ppl that made District 13 and its sequel which this is based on. Most interesting thing is this just plays like a sidequel to the Fast & Furious franchise fitting in right between 2 Fast and Fast 4. And I enjoyed it within that framing rather than it being an inferior remake. DVD looks fine but wish I had this on Blu.

Wildest thing is that I was 100 percent certain I had not scene this movie and nothing about was recognizable. Yet not only have I logged it but I saw this in theater when it was released! WTF I’m dumbfounded by this. As Elon Musk would say… “concerning”
