Overview

Xander Cage is your standard adrenaline junkie with no fear and a lousy attitude. When the US Government “recruits” him to go on a mission, he’s not exactly thrilled. His mission: to gather information on an organization that may just be planning the destruction of the world, led by the nihilistic Yorgi.

Viewing Notes

15 minutes into this “this has to be a Rob Cohen film!” LOL so dumb such a dumb movie that I have to give it some props for the level of stupidity it rises to. And yet it too could be a sidequel for the Fast & Furious franchise (like Brick Mansions). This would have to go between 4 and Fast Five I think.

Tony Hawk cameo is hilarious. Forgot Sam Jackson is the head suit. The on location setpieces and scenes are great. Lots of practical FX and explosions. Can see some nods to other films that I wouldn’t have noticed back when this was released.

Babyface Vin Diesel is a specimen in this. His tattoos are very stupid but he rocked those workouts to get the hard body. Best he’s looked.
