Odd coincidence that as soon as I discover all the Lupin films are on Tubi, DKUTV programs an entire Lupin weekend. This movie is on Tubi rn but I was watching a bit of the live action movie then this started up. So I just continued watching.
Most Lupin films have an element of fantasy or science fiction but this one is probably the most fantastical I’ve seen. And certainly very adult themed. In addition to the concepts around death and immortality, there’s a scene showing Lupin’s brain and it’s just photos of boobs clipped from men’s magazines. So wild to see.
Anyways the movie is pretty cool and gives Fujiko a little more screentime.
