A yakuza boss hires Goemon Ishikawa, a modern day samurai, to protect him aboard his cruise ship casino. Everything goes sideways when the famous thief, Lupin the Third, tries to rob the vessel. Lupin’s being hunted by a powerful and mysterious man: the so called “Ghost of Bermuda.” With Goemon’s employer dead in the ensuing chaos, his honor is at stake, and the only way to preserve it is with blood. But this opponent is like no other, and to make things right, Goemon may need to sharpen not only his sword, but himself as well!

so bloody and hyper violent… ofc I love it. so many limbs getting chopped off. Neat that this is a sequel to the Jigen Grave movie but also a reimagining of the origin of Geomon’s friendship with Lupin and Jigen.
The DKUTV Lupin marathon continues! I didn’t want to miss this one bc it’s also not available anywhere to view. Good thing too bc this “feature” is fucking wild. The animation is totally different than the TV series or other feature films. It’s more gritty and reminded me of Ninja Scroll but dirtier and more stylized. The director did REDLINE so that checks out (it too is hyper stylized and different than the standard anime).
