Viewing Notes

Happy Birthday, Michelle Yeoh!

Thank you for being the brightest and most interesting aspect of this rather low tier Bond film. Your scenes are the highlight and you should’ve been given more.

Having not seen this for two decades I forgot a lot of it and now it’s even more dated (newspaper mogul wants to control the world news and send China to war with England). Also forgot the stealth ship is located in Ha Long bay, which is neat. Fond memories from the cruise tour i did back in 2018.

Most of this is pretty silly with stuff like keeping a $350m satellite just sitting inside a corporate building. But overall an entertaining time boosted by Michelle Yeoh’s presence.

Oh yeah I recognized Gerard Butler on the Devonshire ship at the beginning and did the old Rick Dalton pointing at the screen. So hilarious to see his face in this!
