Whether single-handedly fighting sixteen bandits or avenging her father’s brutal death, she demonstrates why she was Hong Kong’s number one swordswoman and no slouch with the whip either!

Viewing Notes

Started this the other day but never finished so I just restarted it from the beginning. I like it a little more on this viewing; it’s a very fine Shaw Production buoyed by a terrific Cheng Pei-Pei and fun Ku Feng, who is always sus when he appears in a significant role. Ofc I’m a big Elliot Ngok fan so I like seeing him and Pei-Pei together again.

Love all the outside, location filming in the snow near the mountains and how they cut to the soundstage. Sammo Hung is one of the 16 bandits and gets a line of dialogue! That was neat to see.
