Overview

After a phone call from his ex-girlfriend, teenage loner Brendan Frye learns that her dead body was found. Vowing to solve her murder himself, he must infiltrate high-school cliques that he previously avoided. His search for the truth brings him before some of the school’s roughest characters.

Third movie in our unplanned high school themed movie night and a perfect film to cap the evening. Glad to revisit this one as I had forgotten so much of it other than the basic premise. Wild to see all these dudes so young.

Ron described it perfectly as a Dashiell Hammett novel set in high school. Super snappy dialogue blended with the usual dilemmas of being a teenager. Fun stuff.
