Initially wasn’t sure I was going to be on board for this as a lot in the first quarter to a third seemed kinda flat and expected but it’s sneaky in setting up what’s to come and is quite amusing after that warmup. The biggest surprise was ex-all-pro Marshawn Lynch who I had no idea went into acting but is dynamite in this.
An inspired triple feature would be to sandwich this movie in-between KNIVES AND SKIN and PERPETRATOR. I was thinking about those two films a lot with the weird humor and characters and violence and gay themes.
Definitely will revisit as there’s a lot happening and I was distracted by a dude a couple of seats away from me that was audibly laughing at nearly everything whether it was a joke or not, ex. a character walks into frame ::laugh:: a character leaves frame ::laugh:: etc etc etc. I kept looking over wondering WTF was this deal. Just so fucking weird.
