Viewing Notes

Was great to finally see this on the big screen, which I believe is the last *big* John Carpenter film I had not previously seen in theater. I’ll have to check but I think I’ve seen all his most notable films in theater thanks to rep screenings and anniversary screenings like this one.

Guessing this was the most recent 4K restoration bc it looked excellent. This was Roddy Piper’s second role as a leading man and his naivete as an actor is perfect for this character (I’d say the same for Frogtown). Pairing him with Keith David was a good move as they play off each other so well.

Another Carpenter I still don’t own but will get it one of these days.
