Barney, Christmas and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables—but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.

“This is the happiest day of my life!!”
Goddamn I love this movie. Cannot believe it’s been nine years and we haven’t gotten another movie since (until now). Should’ve had at least two during those 9 long years.
I love Wesley Snipes. Lately I was thinking about that train escape but couldn’t remember the movie. As soon as this movie started I was so happy to learn it was this one.
I love Antonio Banderas in this. Affable yet annoying but a heart of gold and just happy to be there. Such a good role for him.
Jet Li. Damn near cried when he appears. I didn’t think he was in this installment so what a joy to see him again. Plus gets an action scene with Arnold.
Forgot about Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson entirely. I dunno why or how Harrison got involved but he’s fun. Gibson makes sense but gd I wish he wasn’t a shithead IRL. So sad. Same for Ronda; she’s good in this and has a great sneer. Why does she have to be an asshole IRL.
Cool to see Glen Powell. Lutz was no surprise but a nice addition. The entire story of getting a the new team then having to rescue them with the old team is so good. Plus each gets a moment or two to shine. I had happy sad tears bc we won’t see any of them in the 4th movie. Seriously. They should have made an immediate follow up with this crew.
