Viewing Notes

Totally getting me into spooky season! And prepping for the release of J-Horror Virus. Nice to find another one I haven’t seen and had me wanting to make a list here for just J-Horror (as defined by the documentary and me).

This certainly counts and is basically a wholesale lift of The Ring / One Missed Call formula despite being made at the same time. I think all these filmmakers influenced each other and borrowed from The Ring and others from the late nineties. So the middling ratings I understand. But this is still effective and had I seen this on the big screen or at least a better presentation I may even give it a higher rating. These JP horror filmmakers really cornered the market on creepy girls w/long black hair crawling out of objects.
