Viewing Notes

More Albert Pyun’s film than Florentine but I’m guessing that Isaac stepped in to help out and ended up finishing the film when Carradine and Roundtree were brought in. Had I known about this film I would’ve absolutely asked Florentine about it when I met him 10 years ago.

This isn’t a good movie and shares a lot with Pyun’s later live action location work (this movie shot mostly in Guam); the story and dialogue are awful but the action is p darn good. Wish it had more action and less of characters talking. What’s real interesting is that Chad Stahelski* is the action director so that checks. Between him and Florentine you can expect something watchable if not great.

Amusing that David Carradine has a few scenes added late to the production despite this being a bad movie while at the same time he had Kill Bill out in theaters. Also, the Max Havoc role would’ve been perfect for Adkins. Can totally see him as that character and improving the charisma by tenfold.

*I may create a Chad Stahelski tag and back tag all the films he’s worked on that I’ve seen.
