After a local woman is murdered, a group of teenage liars create a warning e-mail of a serial killer named “The Wolf”, coming on the next full moon. The teens describe each death method The Wolf uses, but when the described victims actually do start turning up dead, suddenly no one knows where the lies end and the truth begins.

Viewing Notes
May have been a little too early for its time but the idea is a good one using cell phones and text messaging to create a game to make students believe the slasher story. I don’t recall how pervasive mobile devices were for teens in 2005 but nothing compared to today. This feels more like a premise we would’ve seen in the last 5 years not 18 years ago.
They could easily remake this or make a sequel altho it may be too close to other recent films that utilize a mobile phone.
