Unbelievably the first Miike film I’ve seen this year. Put this on my revisit list for October bc it’s been far too long (also regret not catching this on the big screen at FF bc I don’t think I’ll ever have a chance to see it big again).
Kinda wild to watch now as it feels so quaint. Had I been more in tune with what this movie is doing this would’ve been one Miike film I could’ve watched with Yumi and she probably would like it (she enjoyed JP comedies the most).
Loved seeing Yoshiyuki Morishita show up as the cop then Kenichi Endo as the criminal. Also that Tetsuro Tamba is in this is amazing. So cool to see that legend just being all silly. Naoto Takenaka has a ridiculous wig!
