Overview

A young neurosurgeon inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback, a pretty lab assistant and the elderly housekeeper. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather was delusional, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind.

Viewing Notes

Had listed this one prior to October but couldn’t fit it in the appropriate spot during the month so picked it up today. Definitely hits all the seasonal notes with the spooky atmosphere. A+ set design. Still a favorite film. Love the dry humor and nod to the original Universal Monster films. Also recognized Ian Abercrombie on this viewing probably due to the clarity of the PQ of the Blu-ray. The Blu is nice but this edition isn’t presented in the OAR of 1.37 but rather 1.85 which is annoying.
