Bought this last year for spooky season then didn’t watch it so this year I put it on my list and saved it for Halloween night. Nails the spooky season atmosphere and set design (they filmed in the fall so seasonally appropriate). The magic house is amazing. Jack Black is fun as usual and I love Cate Blanchett, ofc. Props to Eli Roth for making a family movie but with his touch. Ideal gateway movie for the little ones to get introduced to some scary themes.
Watched some of the BTS extras. Roth seems like a great dude to work with on set. The house is an actual real house they found in Newnan, Georgia.
