Overview
In 1661 Mexico, the Baron Vitelius of Astara is sentenced to be burned alive by the Holy Inquisition of Mexico for witchcraft, necromancy, and other crimes. As he dies, the Baron swears vengeance against the descendants of the Inquisitors. 300 years later, a comet that was passing overhead on the night of the Baron’s execution returns to earth, bringing with it the Baron in the form of a horrible, brain-eating monster that terrorizes the Inquisitor’s descendants

Wow I saw this title pop up when I was making my guesses but it was one that so many ppl had seen (in general) that I didn’t expect it to be correct. The hint:
“Fun 1960s creature feature from south of the border”
I guessed Rider of the Skulls, having recently seen it. tbh I’m shocked I have not seen Brainiac bc it’s always included in a lot of those mega-movie cheapie sets, IIRC. I earmarked it to watch but now I’ve seen it! Fun movie that looks amazing with this new transfer, which I guess was released by Indicator?
