Always down for a “most dangerous game” story but sadly this one is disappointing especially since Adkins is the lead. Not a terrible film just lacking plus pacing issues. Could’ve removed the entire Las Vegas stuff in the front and started with Adkins in Bangkok doing his his underground fighting and use flashbacks to convey why he’s in this spot.
Having Mitra as a villain wasn’t great even if she seemed into that role. Was hoping it was gonna be her and Adkins teaming up to escape the hunters. The screenplay needed another pass and the film trimmed to a tight 90min to improve the pacing and intensity. The bridge fight at the end was so stupid. Then the woman giving the rubies to the general to save her village was dumb as he was already proven to be corrupt.
Crazy to have yet another actor appear in movie right after seeing them the day before. Here it’s Temuera Morrison, who I didn’t even know was in this (saw him yesterday in Aquaman 2). So wild that this happened several times recently.
