#3 of three today and the movie that I wanted to see the most. It’s a feature film based on the anime series The Great Pretender, which is about the world of professional con artists. I watched six episodes to get familiar with the story and characters. This movie barely touches on them and instead focuses on different characters I was unfamiliar with but enough background info is given so it was easy to follow, mostly.
Overall it’s fine but not nearly as funny as the tv series. Plus I like those characters more.
