Viewing Notes

aka MARINES CADETS

Part of the Kenpachiro Satsuma tribute marathon even tho he’s not credited in TMDb for this one. Guessing it was another small part like one of the background cadets. Wasn’t going to watch this one after viewing the 2.5 hour epic IMPERIAL NAVY but I left the tv on and as the movie played I got into it. Plus it features one of my favorite Godzilla actors Katsuhiko Sasaki as the lieutenant that trains the young cadets.

For most of the movie it’s like a hang out film with these cadets. It’s it quite nice. Then they finally get some action on Iwo Jima and get destroyed by the US forces then it turns into a survival flick. This is a good movie with nice subplot stories.

Both this movie and the previous IMPERIAL NAVY looks really good on the twitch broadcast.
