Viewing Notes
5th Zatoichi film in the series and clearly they’ve already run out of ideas for the titles lol. I like when Zatoichi has to help others and this is an ideal story for that. This one may be my favorite so far bc it leans into the action and has a Yojimbo flavor. Also love both women co-stars, two very different characters and both compelling. Also Ifukube’s score is excellent and haunting.
It’s like they perfected the recipe by this film.
