Viewing Notes
One of the biggest issues with Tubi are the subtitles; they misalign throughout the duration of the movie. Sometimes they appear too early or too late. It’s so weird and annoying. In this case they were appearing before the dialogue would happen about an hour into the film. Turned them off for a little bit hoping to reset them but nope.
Anyways this is an interesting premise but not delivered very well. I like Kanon Miyahara as the demon hunter but she is practically wasted. Both her and Kaede Aono are the highlights of High Kick Angels but are not given much to do here. Also for a pre-war or wartime set film would trouble the cast and production design to at least have everyone and everything look period appropriate? Seeing all those modern hairstyles is distracting.
Today I Learned there’s a few live action movies based on the original Blood-C anime / manga created by CLAMP. They’re only connected thru the source material. One I already found on Tubi so I’ll give it a spin since it has a 100% on TMDb haha
