Happy Easter Bunny!
We saw this trailer before the DEADBALL movie and I commented that it would be an appropriate Easter movie since it features someone in a bunny costume. It’s a twisty tale that doesn’t quite hit the mark but still interesting esp for Shimizu’s imagery. Also may be beneficial to view his SHOCK LABYRINTH first since it’s connected and it is a catalyst for certain things in this movie.
I need to dig out my dvd of that film and watch it. If this movie, released by Well Go USA, is still available I’d buy it so I can view them back to back. Cool to see that the lead actress Hikari Mitsushima is still very active in the industry.
Both Teruyuki Kagawa and Nao Omori are in this, two major character actors in Japanese cinema. Figured both would be listed reasonably well in my actors watched but only 13 films and 20 films seen, respectively, for them. Surprised bc I feel like I’m always seeing them in the JP movies I watch.
LOL I just noticed that Noah and Javi both hated this movie. Hahaha yeah not surprising as it’s not really gonna work for most. Haven’t seen his most current films but most are rated poorly (Adam Sorel from Third Window Films really dislikes Shimizu’s movies!).
