Jian Bei, an unassuming debt collector must care for his sister who has a terminal illness. In order to pay for her treatment, he agrees to undergo an unconventional procedure that results in giving him an ability called Buddha Palm. This super human strength helps him complete a series of three trials, each providing a secret ingredient that can cure his sister’s illness. Will he be able to complete these tasks and obtain the cure for his sister?

Petition for Collin Chou to stop getting typecast as the villain.
The evil mask is cool and I’d love to fabricate one. Gave me a lot of ideas about masks. The world borrows from John Wick’s Continental Hotel but here it’s a martial arts hotel where they accept tasks. Lots of goofy stuff but some okay martial arts when they actually do fight, which isn’t enough really. Everything looks like it was filmed on a soundstage not in a good way. Some neat stuff here and there but looks and feels like a knockoff product. I do like Tang Fei that goes on the item quest w/the protag. She has a cool outfit and kicks ass. She reminds me of Chihiro Yamamoto, a real deal action star in Black Fox and other films.
The FreeVee experience really stinks. The ad breaks just happen whenever and it’s so obnoxious.
