Overview

In order to avenge her family, innocent girl Qing Cheng was trained to be a cold-blooded killer. After several murders, she decided to let go of her grievances and spend the rest of her peaceful life in Anle Village, where she met the kind Bang and tied the knot. While Qing Cheng lives a dull life hiding her martial skills, Jianghu sinks into another wave of turmoil. In order to maintain the peace of Anle Village, Qing Cheng stepped up again and became the guardian of the village.

wanted to see more of Raquel Xu’s work after watching MISS AGENT aka AGENT CRAZY FLOWER so I fired this up on YT this morning. It’s fine. She really doesn’t get to shine as much here but when she does, it’s p good. Unfortunately most of this is weighed down by the crime boss versus crime boss story which isn’t all that interesting. Also way too slick compared to all the awesome and grimy HK crime films from the eighties and nineties.

The synopsis here isn’t bad but here’s a better one: Raquel Xu’s character witnesses her brother’s murder then is raped. She seeks revenge by joining a Triad and getting trained to be an assassin by the crime lord. She eventually learns that her crime lord boss isn’t all that great so she leaves for a simple life. When that life is interrupted by her former crime lord she seeks the ultimate revenge.

Worth mentioning: the YT ad experience is the absolute worst. Just awful. So disruptive and loud.
