Viewing Notes

I didn’t need to see the movie to know this would be a “love or hate” kind of situation. Totally understand why ppl don’t like this and those that walked out during screenings, Sundance or other. But I bought into this premise and found it deeply moving and often quite sad.

Neil Caldarone said it was a waste of his time full of juvenile humor and not worth watching. “Bring a book to read” he wrote. I’m the opposite. Sure there’s some amusing moments but this works more like a National Geographic documentary capturing this family as they just live and survive, how the world around them affects them.

I do have nitpicks but not worth going into here plus spoilery.
