Viewing Notes

The 35mm presentation was quite a treat. Print was heavily worn but still had its colors. As usual most of the audience had not seen it and laughed a lot throughout. I’m not a huge fan of the movie (didn’t see it on release so no nostalgia feels) but I am still blown away by the animation and live action intertwined so well. Total movie magic.

The first two acts I really like a lot as the mystery is set up but the third act just doesn’t do it for me. The humor, the slapstick, the action. I just prefer it when it’s a mystery.

This was my last IFS screening of the current season (semester). Will be a long wait until August but it was a great semester of films.
