Crazy movie that I didn’t even know about until Prime did their “up next” thing. So I watched it and it definitely has its moments but a little bit of a slog. The opening sequence is so fun but it never really gets back to that until the very end, which is wild. Needed to lean into the weird much more. Kinda reminded me of less bonkers 7th Curse. Also the PQ was shit in a 1.33:1 frame which didn’t help. If this had a nice loaded release I’d consider getting it.
This was originally released in 3D like Comin’ At Ya (also starring Tony Anthony and directed by Baldi) from the same time. Guessing the story took a back seat to making some cool FX scenes.
