Viewing Notes

Happy to see a Corman-directed film that I had not previously watched. Most of the programming for the RC tribute marathon tonight has been the Poe adaptations but this one was stuck in there since it stars Vincent Price as well. And we’re back to black and white, which is perfect for this sinister tale of this awful man and his desire to be king. Price does evil so well, a natural, which is a testament to his talent knowing what a nice human he was IRL.

Overall a solid film and one of the better transfers I’ve seen in the marathon. Very crisp.
