this Chinese remake of a Japanese film has text at the end implying this is a true story in China…. Huh. I need to look up the Japanese film now.
Best way to describe this story is The Horseman x Blue Ruin but not nearly as good as either of those. Still brutal at times and reminds of the reasons I’m glad not to be a parent (I’m not glad but this story makes me glad I don’t have kids).

The Japanese novelist is credited with the story so this is a remake and I guess all the text at the end is just made up to fit the narrative?
