Another Burt Kennedy film! I’m not even trying to watch his films but somehow I keep selecting them across all different genres. I like this one a lot bc it’s John Wayne kinda being a villain (he plans a gold heist in revenge to the man that put in him prison). And he brings Kirk Douglas in as a partner, and I love Douglas especially in Westerns bc he always looks anachronistic with his slick hair and appearance.
Fun film with great banter between these two. Wayne is just a natural in this role, basically the same character he is in every western.
