A well-worn premise that becomes more interesting with precise time period (1918) at the beginning Spanish Flu pandemic plus having some very good actors to carry this dark comedy. Peter Sarsgaard is a lot of fun stirring up this situation as the mysterious chef. Billy Magnussen does his same smarmy douchebag character which he’s so good at doing, which is why he gets cast in these roles but someone pls give him a nice guy or hero role for a change.
