From Minoru Kawasaki, the director of “The Calamari Wrestler,” “Executive Koala,” “The Entire World Sinks Except Japan,” and “The Rug Cop,” comes the epic story of a giant crab who washes ashore, befriends a boy, finds love, and becomes a sports legend. The film has been described by Kawasaki as being ‘like Forrest Gump…but with a crab.’

A very Minoru Kawasaki flick, which is so funny bc if you told me he made this last year I would’ve said, “of course he did.” Everything he makes looks like it was done all at the same time in the same year. It’s timeless bc it’s all so similar and bizarre yet in this charming way. Crazy this one hasn’t gotten any kind of release.
Eleventh feature film of the marathon.
