Overview

Hitparkut (Dissolution) combines an almost surreal fairy-tale energy with brutal black and white realism to explore the condition of violence which permeates contemporary Israeli society. Viewing Notes

The last of the Nina Menkes films available on MUBI and all expiring today. Glad I was able to see them and finish with her most recent movie. Mixed on this one; the stark b&w photography is very good but in usual Menkes fashion the story isn’t as dialed in to the situation, which I realize is always her intent.
