Seated and know nothing about this other than Kitty Zhang is in this and that’s enough for me to drive 45min. And Shen Teng stars whom I’ve already seen in 3 films this year 😳
Interesting movie! It’s a homage / riff on Johnnie To’s crime flicks. Having Shen Teng as a crime boss doesn’t work since he’s mostly (to me) associated with drama and comedy. Here he’s a badass gritty crime boss… he’s not Anthony Wong. But he is a good actor and it is always nice to see Kitty Zhang on the big screen. She’s gorgeous as ever in what is probably the biggest role I’ve seen her in; she’s a co-star here. Sadly she gets sidelined towards the end when it becomes Teng’s movie.
If this film ever gets a BD release (unlikely) I would buy it.
