Paul Naschy has a duel role as Amenhotep/Assad Bey, an ancient egyptian mummified Pharaoh, and the high priest who brought him back to life. In order For Amenhotep to achieve immortality, Assad Bey has to kidnap nubile young virgins in Victorian London for blood sacrifices.

Viewing Notes
The #DriveInMob selection this week for ocTOMBer, all mummy movies. This Naschy flick isn’t in any of the recent sets or releases but it is on Tubi. I decided to watch the broadcast via Vimeo. Not the best PQ but no commercials. In fact, the PQ was garbage. Def would’ve looked better on a smaller screen. The movie is far from Naschy’s best (we say that about many of this films) but it does have a cool mummy. It’s also fairly tame by his standards. I remember seeing pics of that mummy in horror mags but could not place it later bc I hadn’t seen this movie.
Would absolutely buy a nice restored release of this. Really they need to release another set of his films; there’s so many!
