A rare mutation has occurred within the vampire community - The Reaper. A vampire so consumed with an insatiable bloodlust that they prey on vampires as well as humans, transforming victims who are unlucky enough to survive into Reapers themselves. Huh. Still not as smitten with this as most others are. Really expected to enjoy this more but it’s fine, at the same level as the first film. I like that it does something different and brings in an ensemble cast. As much as I want Donnie Yen to get more to do it’s just not possible with all these characters. But his unceremonious death is still a sore spot.
The second rewatch that I’m counting in my 31DoH bc this was p much like viewing it for the first time. I didn’t recall anything that happens (or that most of these actors besides Yen were even in this movie). It has been 22 years since I last watched this. That’s nuts and kinda freaks me out.
