The film that secured Yamazaki for GMO. And yet it’s all talkie which is amusing. Good film that feels like it’s based on a true story when it’s likely written from a kernel of truth. “Math will save Japan” is a fun premise for a pre-war film.
Minami Hamabe was probably 18yo when they made this and she does look really young but it’s crazy that since this she’s done both Shin Kamen Rider and GMO. She’s great here in a small supporting role yet top billed bc she’s still one of the biggest stars.
Always love seeing Jun Kunimura. Half the actors in this movie aren’t listed in TMDb. Didn’t realize this was a Well Go release until I saw the logo but damn the PQ looked excellent on Amazon Prime.
