It’s Friday the 13th so I had to squeeze in a Jason flick as per tradition (we only get a few of these special days!). Already knew for this day I’d watch the sequel to NEVER HIKE ALONE, which I like in addition to NEVER HIKE IN THE SNOW. Both good installments in the Friday the 13th lore.
This movie takes it to the next level. Wow - easily my favorite of the bunch and one I could see revisiting. Would be great to own nice HD versions of these films but I’m sure there’s not much director Vincente DiSanti can do given the IP, esp. now. It’s amazing he has the finances to make these bc the production value is better than even the early F13 films. Love seeing Thom Matthews in these, too, as the through line to the link these films to original movies (plus having seen him recently in Albert Pyun’s flicks as a regular).
Anyways, it was great to see Jason again on his special day absolutely destroying ppl.
