Overview

Christmas has arrived. As a little girl and her parents enter the room, the little girl finds all kinds of toys under the Christmas Tree. She immediately throws her old doll aside and starts playing with her new dolls. But that night she has a dream. Or maybe it isn’t a dream?

Nicely crafted stop motion animation on a real rag doll in this Czech Christmas short film that was likely another big influence on TOY STORY. Watched the full 10+ minute version but apparently there’s a shitty 8 min USA version.

I don’t understand how this has a 54% on TMDb. it was produced 80 years ago! And it’s still better than 90% of the Christmas junk that gets created for children today.
